Kursbeschreibung

In this advanced five-day course you will learn to maintain and troubleshoot Cisco IOS® XR Software in a typical network deployment. You will learn the detailed hardware architecture in order to maintain and troubleshoot the Cisco® Carrier Routing System (CRS-1) and the Cisco XR 12000 Series Router. Fifteen hands-on labs solidify the knowledge taught in class by allowing you to practice on live hardware. You will learn to secure the Cisco CRS-1 from denial-of-service attacks, optimize the availability of your network, implement Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Traffic Engineering, and deploy Fast Reroute (FFR).

Voraussetzungen
  • Basic knowledge of the Cisco 12000 Series Router (Gigabit Switch Router, or GSR) architecture and operations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of designing, implementing, and operating a large-scale network for high availability
  • Ability to configure, optimize, and scale dynamic routing protocols, including OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, and MPLS
  • Familiarity with traffic engineering and load balancing principles and methodologies
  • Familiarity with quality-of-service (QoS) and servicelevel agreement principles and methodologies

Relevant Courses:

  • Cisco 12000 Series Technical Product Training (GSR) or equivalent experience
  • Building Core Networks with BGP, OSPF, and MPLS (BCMPL)
  • Implementing Cisco Quality of Service (QoS) v2.1
