This course is intended for all technical support engineers, systems engineers, and consultants who will be supporting the Symantec Network Access Control 11.0 products

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

• Describe the basic enforcer appliance hardware and software components
• Restore an enforcer appliance image and access the appliance setup wizard
• Reset an enforcer appliance to a factory default condition
• Access the enforcer command line interface
• Configure an enforcer via a serial connection, using the command line interface
• Verify manager connectivity using the command line interface
• Verify enforcer status in the SEPM/SNAC manager
• Verify enforcer registration in a SEPM or SNAC manager (logs)
• Describe basic communication that occurs between clients, each type of enforcer, and a manager
• Use the CLI capture commands to isolate and capture client authentication traffic
• Use the CLI capture upload command to transfer information to client machines
• Use the CLI debug commands to enable debugging and obtain debug information
• Review client logs to verify HI validation and enforcer authentication
• Access the Linux kernel running on enforcer appliances
• List three of the enforcer system configuration files
